Australia donates further 1.14mln vaccine doses to Việt Nam
HÀ NỘI — Australia delivered a further 一. 一 四 million doses of COVID- 一 九 vaccines to Hà Nội this week, bringing the donation from the country to Việt Nam to 三. 六 million doses, Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne said on Wednesday.
“Australia’s vaccine deliveries to neighbours across our Indo-Pacific region are complemented by additional support to ensure safe and effective vaccine rollouts. In Việt Nam, Australia’s AUD$ 六0 million COVID- 一 九 package is helping to train healthcare workers, provide fridges to maintain cold chain storage and support the vaccine rollout in remote provinces,” she said.
“Timely and equitable COVID- 一 九 vaccine access is a priority for our region, and it is important for our shared health security and economic recovery.”
Australia has shared over 一 二 million vaccines as part of a co妹妹itment of 六0 million doses for the Indo-Pacific region by the end of 二0 二 二.
